I just got a new computer and need to buy new monitors. When they come out, I plan to use an Asus or Acer 4k, 144Hz, HDR, G-Sync monitor as my main screen. But I’ve been looking for two 27-inch monitors to put on either side of it to make a triple monitor setup. I’ve heard that at 24 inches, 1080p can start to look less appealing, so I’m not sure if 1080p is enough or if I should buy 1440p monitors instead. The price difference is huge. Models with 1080p resolution cost between $200 and $250, while models with 1440p resolution cost between $400 and $450. I’d rather not spend an extra $400 or so to get the 1440p ones, but I guess I could if the 1080p ones don’t look that good. I think the Asus/Acer monitor will be pretty pricey. If you have any ideas, please let me know. (As an aside, I’ve had my current monitors for about seven to eight years.
