Most computer desks are 50 inches wide and 25 inches deep. The space can only hold a keyboard and a monitor stand. You can find these in public places with a lot of open-plan PCs, like libraries, computer labs, and other places. People who like having a lot of space will also like this size.
As you sit at your desk, the width or length is measured from right to left. For a computer screen to fit on a desk, it should be at least 20 inches long. Most often, they are 48, 60, or 72 inches long. The desk’s width or length is the least important of the three measurements. Use the measurements you took earlier to figure out the right depth for your site and equipment.
For two monitors, you can buy a desk that is 47 to 55 inches wide. Two monitors can fit on a desk that is 50 inches wide. It’s best to have a workstation that’s a little bit bigger than 50 inches so you can fit all of your gaming gear on it.
There are other sizes, but the 55-inch workstation with two monitors is our top pick. If you add a dual monitor desk mount to this workstation, you can have two monitors and the best of both worlds.
If your monitor is the standard size, which is at least 20 inches wide, you’ll need a desk that’s at least 50 inches wide and deep enough to fit your keyboard and mouse.
It depends on how big they are. I have a 27-inch monitor, but if I had two, they should be at least 1.5 times broader than each other. I don’t like how my monitor is right next to the edge of my desk.
Cost is, of course, a major factor. I could get you a beautiful, sturdy, big desk for $1200 that has room for six monitors, is strong enough to hold a king-size bed on top, and has adjustable heights. (This is a rough idea of how much it will cost.)
Your workstation should be at least 610 mm wide and between 508 and 762 mm deep. The desks in our Home Work collection are the smallest. They all have a depth of 600mm, which makes them great for small spaces because it’s better to have enough space than not enough.
No one size fits all. This is helpful because it lets you fit your home office floor plan into a variety of widths, depths, and heights while still meeting your needs.
How big your desk needs to be for two monitors depends on how big your screens are. You will usually need a workstation that is at least 40 inches long, especially if you need more space than your monitors. If you have big monitors, it’s usually best to have a workstation that’s wider than 60 inches.
Upgrading your monitor setup could make a big difference in your office or editing space, but it can be hard to find a workstation for two monitors. When you have two monitors, you need more space on your desk, which many standard-sized desks don’t have, especially if you have big screens. Two-monitor workstations are only different from other desks in a big way in that they are bigger. They might also be able to hold more weight than regular workstations. The best dual monitor workstations will meet your needs and make your room more useful no matter how your computer is set up.
My opinion is that a single arm desk mount should be able to hold two monitors. The desk should have a width between 45 and 55 inches. I’d move the laptop to a place where it’s easier to turn it off and grab it. It’s not always easy to use the desk lamp. Home Depot might also sell cable routers or monitor arms with cable routers already built in. You might want to start with the legs and then get a piece of wood from Ikea. But I only use a standing desk I bought at Costco and love.
Under my desk, there are two docks and two power blocks. I put two tiny hooks from the ceiling on opposite sides of each block, and then I used zip ties to hold each pair of blocks together. A good example would be: https://i.imgur.com/AWHHsaF.jpg
Can you fit them all on your desk? You’ll need a desk that’s at least 55″ wide and 35″ deep to fit your monitors and other items. Feb 25, 2021
If you have the room, you should get a desk that is at least 30 inches deep and 55 inches wide. This will let you set up two monitors and give you as much desk space as possible. In a smaller space, you might make it 48 inches wide and 24 inches deep. At 48 inches, your screen may take up the whole width of your desk.
