If you make a few smart changes to a desk drawer, you might be able to hide a big power strip that is sitting on the floor and is full of cords. Using a power drill and a hole saw bit, drill a hole in the back panel of the desk drawer near a wall outlet. The power strip cable should then be put through the hole, and the power strip should be glued to the same drawer panel on both sides. As you plug devices into the power strip, give each one a place in the drawer to rest while it charges. Home blogger Jenny Steffens Hobick does this in her kitchen drawers.
Do you want it to be hidden or stand out? It will probably get too hot if you put it in a box. Put it under your desk if possible. front of it was a beautiful curtain. You could also put labels on the appliance that say “danger” and other things. Why do you feel so bad about it?
Hi. I’m Kathryn Weber, and I write the DIY column Living Space. Today’s topic is also about how to hide a computer tower in your home office. If you work from home, you probably want your office to look nice. You want it to be both nice to look at and useful to you. On the other hand, it’s not very attractive to have a big, bulky computer tower on your desk. Computer towers stand out like a sore thumb because of how tall they are, and it is possible to knock one over or damage it in some other way. This also has to do with safety. And it’s likely that they will trip and fall. Now, if you want to move your computer tower, I have a few suggestions that will help you hide it, make your computer safer, and make your office look much better. As a first alternative, you can turn your computer tower around so that it is behind the screen. I’ll show you what to do. So you can see what the computer tower looks like when the screen covers it. A computer tower, which you can put on your feet, is another option. Place the computer tower at your feet and lean the desk against it. So, when you walk in, you’re less likely to kick it with your feet. You’re also keeping it in the open space under your desk, which is another thing you’re doing. You are letting the air move around. The best cooling is one of the most important things about a computer tower. If it doesn’t run well and get enough air, it could get too hot and break. You won’t be able to respond as quickly, and you may have trouble with memory, shutting down, or other computer problems. So, let’s say you put it in a file drawer. Because of this, I want the computer towers to be outside. One is in my office, where I work. It’s been there for years, even though I work from home. It’s near my feet and to the side of the desk. So, I’m going to talk about Kathryn Weber. We’ve already talked about how to hide your computer tower in your home office.
Your desktop tower should be out of sight for more than just looks. Hide your expensive computer to make it easier to find later, even if it gets stolen. Even though the view is a little darker, it still has the benefits of a clean look.
Even though most people in today’s society like computers, not everyone likes how a big computer tower looks. By hiding your computer tower, you can make more room on your desk and also make your workstation look better.
Under the desk because it’s a space that’s not being used, on the floor if it’s clean enough and out of the way of any potential accidents and must be put on small boxes or books (no offense to people who love to read a lot), or, in my opinion, on a desk near a window so it can get Nov. 7, 2020.
Why, oh why, do I need so many computer cords to power a single device? Make a peg board to hang behind your computer to hide those unsightly cords. It will not only hide your computer cables, but it will also look great in your office and make a statement.
Your desktop’s CPU, graphics card, and other internal parts make a lot of heat, especially if they are powerful. Like a car engine, it takes air in and lets it out to keep itself cool. Since your PC doesn’t always go 60 miles per hour, it needs a lot of small fans to work. When you first turn on your computer, you hear a “whirring” sound. This is caused by the circulation fans.
What to Fill Most of the time, we don’t take the PC Tower as a suggestion. What do you want us to do with it? What are you working on? under the desk? or even near a window to help keep it cool and get more air flow.
The best place for your PC tower is either underneath the desk because it is unused space, on the floor if it is clean and away from any potential accidents and is set up on small boxes or books (no offense to people who love to read a lot), or on a desk near a window so it can get enough air to keep its temperature stable.
You may remember that I used this modified IKEA Rast to replace the “nightstand” in our guest bedroom last fall so that there would be more drawer space (see the project details here). It worked pretty well for a while, but I soon realized I needed a little more space. I kept my camera and lenses in the top drawer, which made them easy to get to. The middle drawer was split in half. One half was for blog paperwork and receipts, and the other half was for rental paperwork and receipts. Because the desk drawer didn’t have much space, I put things I needed close by in the bottom drawer.
